Overview
Our research project, backed by Innovate UK, aims to address the environmental footprint of grocery packaging. We are developing a service that will help retail industry show packaging information online.
For consumers, this will make it easier to reduce single-use plastics and find products that are packaged sustainably. We follow human-centred design in our project, and we welcome you to join us on our journey.
Aim
Design and prototype a service that exposes product packaging information online and makes its environmental footprint an integral part of the online shopping experience.
Purpose
The purpose is to help sustainably-minded grocery shoppers reduce their single-use plastic consumption and allow them to find more sustainably packaged products more easily
Mission
Enable consumers to reduce their footprint while retaining the ease of online shopping. Convenience means scale and many small improvements at a large scale will make a big impact.
